Sentinel mining:
Main > Sentinel > Modules > Mid > Miner
Setup a miner on the sentinel
Find an asteroid , righ click to mine
Dock to the unit to deposit the matter.
Unit mining:
The unit has to be in range of an asteroid field
Attach a mine to the unit.
Select the mine(left click) then right click the asteroid to start
The mining process is automated ,
it will run until the asteroid is depleted (destroyed).
